Karel Baloun
Co-Founder CTO
Karel loves to build technology, and is fiercely proud of his engineering team. He was the first senior engineer at Facebook in 2005. Karel's two daughters believe he types fast and is a mobile phone addict, his wife believes he should drink less coffee, and Karel believes he will someday help stop climate change. He loves nature and hiking and is an ultra marathoner.
Kent Schoen
Head of Products
Kent joins the Leap Commerce team after spending five years at Facebook, where he lead its product management, marketing, and operations efforts for Facebook Ads. When he's not helping to build insanely great products, he enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, growing interesting new configurations of facial hair, and vacationing in exotic locations.
Amit Chatterjee
CEO & Co-Founder
Amit leads our efforts around vision, strategy and fund raising. He previously founded and serves on the board of several companies, gaining him a few industry recognitions as an innovator, the Venture Capital Entrepreneur of the Year and EY Entrepreneur of the Year- Cleantech 2011. He is also a fan of the San Francisco 49ers, a wine enthusiast, and candidate for Father of the Year (weekend edition). He was recognized as one of Fortune's 40 under 40, but aspires to get to 70 under 70 at some point.
Avery Lyford
VP of Business Development
Avery works with Leap's business partners to convince them to join our plan to rule the world. An experienced entrepreneur, he's famous for his startup war stories and humorous business analogies. Avery was a world-class scuba during his time in Florida. He has done every kind of dive around the world and has a passion for refereeing his kids soccer games.
Mike Andrews
Chief Scientist
Mike has worked on a wide variety of science and technology projects since getting his Ph.D. in physics from MIT in 1998. He is an enthusiastic photography hobbyist who believes more in the message than the medium, favoring cheap handhelds to expensive bulky cameras. He loves taking long walks while focusing deeply on various scientific & technical problems, enjoying nature along the way.
Lorena Flores
Co-Founder
Lorena has over 15 years of working in Silicon Valley building companies from small startups to expanding critical teams for Fortune 500 corporations. She joined early on to Leap Commerce to transform mobile commerce with amazing offerings to consumers. She is an Executive Member of Latino Startup Alliance, screenwriter, novice photographer, mom of 2 hero loving boys.
